Originally from Tehran, Iran, Elnaz (Elle) Sharifpour received her BA in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts from the University of California San Diego in 2008. She began her career in graphic design for the next two years, yet lacking self-fulfillment in that field she started her studies in 2011 at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco. Armed with a Jewelry Technician Diploma, she has since then followed her fervent passion for designing jewelry.
Her visually striking designs and distinctive style is best portrayed in her line Elle Naz Jewelry launched in 2013.
"I love jewelry, I love wearing jewelry, and I love creating luscious, dainty and delicate jewelry. In my relaxing time, I think about jewelry. Seriously, nothing makes me calmer than to think about a new design. I imagine the components and where and how I'm going to mix and match them. Bracelets and rings are my favorites. Cause I can see them every time I look at my hands. I feel naked without them.
I also love jewelry talk! I love listening to people telling me about their jewelry pieces; where they got them from, why they fell in love with it, how it makes them feel...
Each piece has a story ... a journey ... and I love that I can be part of that journey.
My designs are simple, yet chic and elegant. Easy and fun to wear. Each piece or collection is inspired by patterns I find through my travelings, organic shapes and textures you can find in nature, on the streets, or even at home... Simple and charming jewelry for sophisticated women.
If I am not at my computer, I am working on my bench at the studio in Downtown San Diego. And I love it!" - Elnaz Sharifpour
